The burning, the numbness, and the tingling never really let up. Some days it kept him off his feet, and over time it got bad enough that he even lost a couple of toes.
He went from one doctor to the next looking for help. Each time, he was told to learn to live with it, and doctor after doctor just put him on pain meds. No one had real answers about what was going on or how to help him.
I remember just how frustrated he was about everything. Watching him struggle made the gap plain to me: too often, people are told there is little to be done and sent home to manage on their own.
That is what pushed me to look for better, science-backed options, and it is how Free Life Labs began.
